Dear Patients and Friends,
It's simply not going to ever be possible to avoid dealing with stressful situations. You cannot always manage what other people are going to do, nor can you always know what events are about to happen to you.
The only thing you can manage is YOU, your thoughts, and your behaviors. If you can consistently and swiftly relax your mind and body whenever you need to, you'll become "immune" to the negative effects that stress can have on your body or your mind.
Science Confirms Ageless Wisdom about Stress
A wealth of new scientific research has validated many age-old (and modern) stress reduction practices, causing a tremendous surge in their popularity for personal use, business productivity, and in educational systems.
Because I teach a continuing education course that shows other healthcare practitioners how to use stress reduction therapies with their patients, I need to keep up with the latest scientific stress management techniques. There are ten major areas of "evidence-based" stress reductions strategies that I draw upon.
Because of my familiarity with so many stress management systems, I teach an array of relaxation techniques, so people can find the ones that are best suited to their interests and abilities.

On Tuesday, January 30, I'll be teaching a seven-week course at College of Marin called, "Easeful Living in a Stressful World – Reducing Stress & Increasing Energy."
This class will give you the tools to swiftly reduce the harmful effects of stress in your body and mind. Because stress is considered to be the #1 cause of almost all illness, all humans of all ages need to know how to effectively adapt to adversity.

For the past two years, Suzanne Alfandari, LMFT, has taught a popular workshop here at the office called, "How to Reprogram Your HARMFUL Reactions to Stress." In the workshop, Suzanne teaches people how to use the well-known stress reduction strategy called, Emotional Freedom Technique.
Starting on Tuesday, February 6, Suzanne will be teaming together with cardio training expert, Michael Spino, PhD, to teach a 4-week course called, "How to Use the Latest Cardio Wellness and Mental Training Techniques to Dramatically Improve Your Health - Without Needing a Gym.”
