An Easy & Powerful Way to Help People

As many of you know, I’m the founder of the non-profit, Young Men’s Ultimate Weekend, a rite of passage wilderness camp for young men, ages 13 - 20.

One of the leaders of YMUW is Brendan Byrd, the Event Coordinator for YMUW. He recently brought to my attention that there’s a serious shortage of donated blood all across America. He told me that prior to the Covid virus outbreak, the country enjoyed a five-day supply of blood. That supply has now been reduced to only a one day reserve.

When Opposites Disappear, There Can Be Peace

When I attended college in the early 1970s, I studied comparative religion with an emphasis on Eastern philosophy. One of the most profound principles I learned during that time, stated that when 'opposites disappear', you would become enlightened. One of the ways I interpreted this proverb was, that when I had developed a profoundly deep sense of universal unity, I would no longer believe that diversity - including opposites - was the only reality.

The Future

So much of the stress that's arising from the virus crisis is not knowing how our lives are going to change as a result of the unpredictable pandemic. One of the benefits of having a clearly defined, repeatable lifestyle, is the comforting experience of stability. Even when we don't love our busy, stressful lives, we can find a calmness in knowing that it's consistent. It requires minimum effort to plan for our routines when most daily events are the same.

A Great Source of Important Information

A few years ago, my good friend and chiropractic colleague, Dr. Ricky Fishman, came to our office to talk about how people could handle the stress of having Donald Trump being the President. As many of you know, I do not discuss politics in the office because I'm not interested in politics. However, I decided to have Ricky make a presentation because so many patients were deeply upset when Trump was elected.

Affordable Massage Therapy for Everyone

I began my journey discovering the benefits of professional massage therapy many years ago. While I was going to chiropractic school, I also completed separate studies to be a licensed massage therapist. I provided massage therapy for my clients after classes - in the evening, usually after my kids went to bed! I also traded services with other massage therapists because I loved receiving them as well.
